Last Pass used to be better, but recent versions just don't cut it when it comes to automatically filling web forms, or at least the Firefox add-on doesn't. To use only for banking sites, etc. It still works fine if you don't mind clicking the menu a few times to tell it to fill, and security is top notch.
Roboform works much better (for me at least) if you are wanting something to automatically fill forms as soon as the page is opened. After several frustrating dialogues with Lastpass tech support on several issues I have abandoned Lastpass for Roboform and haven't looked back.

Used to be good. Now it's old, cranky, unintuitive and not compatible with Firefox 57+.
I bit the bullet and switched to Bitwarden, which is clean, slick, modern, open source and compatible with everything (including Android). I should have done this months ago!

I've used LastPass for years (Pro Version) with Firefox (and now Waterfox). It IS the best password manager, and not only passwords. You can store SECURE NOTES, Software Licenses, Personal Information, and you can use it as an autofill for sweepstakes forms, etc.
Version 3.3.4 is the last version that I have been able to use. I have installed and uninstalled every version since 3.3.4 and the forms that normally autofill just come up blank. Reading the forums, it appears I am not the only one with problems and the latest versions seem like a step backward. I give older versions a 5, but have to downgrade for inconsistencies in the later versions

@psycros what? I never had half the problems/issues you described. Wonder what you are really basing this review on?
Never had a problem with LastPass, I've purchased the subscription so I have it over several devices and use their password generator to create a unique password every where so no two web sites, programs/apps etc. have the same password. Easy to reinstall and recover using your backup password.

Cumbersome, annoying and generally just not that great. But its gets worse. If you have to reinstall your OS for some reason you could end up losing access to your Lastpass account. It seems they only allow access from verified devices...if you have to reinstall your OS or roll back to a previous version and you don't have another device with Lastpass installed you've just lost all your data. No, they WON'T help you with this - there's no recourse at all. Lastpass is the LAST place anyone should entrust their precious login info unless they have a backup somewhere..in which case who needs Lastpass?

this was working good as can be expected till recent update ... if it ain't broke don't try to fix it (obvious security problems excluded) ... happens with so many programs over the years and the ones that are recognized as among the greatest haven't changed that much ... not noticeably anyway ... they were good to begin with and had some thought behind the programming and final product released to the public. Normally I'd give a 4 but lowered the rating due lessor product than before (some sites aren't automatically showing stored passwords like they did before ... this should be working on more sites not less). If it continues to get worse I suppose I'll have to look for an alternative solution.

Best password manager, hands down. Cross platform, strong encryption and security, 2 factor authentication available, works on mobile devices.... Well worth the extra $1 per month I pay for the premium version, but even the free version is certainly a great tool for most users.

LastPass Chrome extension works perfectly on my Win 7 X64 system, remembering all my log in information and automatically logging in in perfectly everytime! I'd give it over 5 stars if possible

Pros: Two pass authentication
Cons: Doesn't Autofill very well
Bottom Line: Last Pass used to be better, but recent versions just don't cut it when it comes to automatically filling web forms, or at least the Firefox add-on doesn't. To use only for banking sites, etc. It still works fine if you don't mind clicking the menu a few times to tell it to fill, and security is top notch.

Pros: - Cross-platform
Cons: - Not compatible with Firefox anymore
- Poor Android support
- Same company as the now defunct Xmarks
Bottom Line: Used to be good. Now it's old, cranky, unintuitive and not compatible with Firefox 57+.

Pros: Only need to remember ONE Master Password
Multi-factor authentication
Password Generator
Cons: Latest Versions seem Bloated and slow

I use the paid for version of LastPass on my Blackberry Playbook and Linux Mint and it works very well. It would be nice if they allowed me to create or delete subfolders without bumping them down a level in the tree structure though. I still use Roboform on my Windows machines as it seems to do better than Lastpass on certain sites. There are some sites where I have to manually copy and paste passwords from Lastpass into the form feilds.

Great free alternative instead of Roboform.
