LogMeIn is one of my favorite freebies out there. It has strong security features, easy installation and use and it's all free (nothing wrong with that in my book!)
I've had experience withMyWebExPC and GoToMyPC and I have to say I was unimpressed. GoToMyPC is the aggressive with their marketing, so they are well know and the product is easy to use--if you are willing to pay. REgistration requires a credit card number (even for the trial) and beware! they will start charging your account immediately once your trial ends. MyWebExPC is not as robust Although LogMeIn has some minor niggles--I am overall very happy with them. Installation was really simple and the security features are on par with what the competitors are offering. My employees were quick to figure out how to use LogMeIn and said its been very handy tool. We've even found that the pro version works nicely if we need to remote access with our PDAs. Some niggles: resolution is sometimes fuzzy, you will experience some lag if you're on dialup, and LogMeIn is still not linux supported. The trial version of LogMeIn has features from their pro version that you lose once the trial is over. But, the free version is still very functional and useful for most PC users. If you need those additional features (file transfer and remote printing), its worth considering the LogMeIn Pro version. Overall--impressive software. If you have been looking for remote access, choose LogMeIn before plunking down money elsewhere.
