Lookout is past! I changed to Lookeen (www.lookeen.net) , because that product is actual and developed! It is even faster and has more accuracy than Lookout and is even cheaper than Copernic!

For those who don't check the homepage prior to installing: "You must uninstall prior versions of Lookout before installing this one."

This doesn't come close to Copernic Desktop Search.
Was I too brutal with my rating? Maybe, but by now Lookout should have something that compares to CDS. Don't make a comment unless you've tried CDS.

Ya'll should be aware that desktop search programs that index outlook Mail messages can have performance issues on Outlook connected to Exchange machines. The indexing process is very taxing initially to an exchange server, and you might see performance/error conditions. A better use of your time might be to just enable the indexing on the server itself.
In my testing I couldn't see the performance issues, (small fry myself) but I saw this post on a Microsoft blog where a large customer had implemented Lookout and then saw their exchange server die under the stress of individual clients indexing like mad.
This of course doesn't apply to standalone pop3 outlook or standalone outlook.

I've switched to Copernic Desktop Search, as it's much faster and also easier to use. And you don't even need to have Outlook opened. Microsoft bought the wrong company.

Great mail searching tool for outlook but makes me wonder why microsoft can't do better with their own search built in.
Now since Microsoft purchased lookout they should redesign Outlook so that it only has one good search tool.
