Publisher's Description
Mail Monitor allows you to easily monitor all your POP3 mail boxes. When you have received new mail, it can inform you with visual effects and sound. It can also launch your Email Reader. It supports an unlimited number of mailboxes. You can see your messages in the message list, and you can delete any messages from server without ever loading them. You can mark messages as read and it will not notify you about them again. It also allows you to preview messages without any risk for you and your computer from malicious viruses. The message is loaded into a text box and no scripts are allowed to be executed. This helps you protect your computer from mail viruses. If you see some unknown letters you can easily delete it if you think it is not for you.

Being listed as Freeware is a bit misleading but it definately does what its suppose to do if you use True Launch Bar.
Those of you who want to leave your Outlook Clients constantly open..go for it.. waste away almost 15megs and CPU Resources.. be my guest.

If you ignore everything about it EXCEPT the fact that it lets you know when you have mail, then its great. I use it with true launch bar so I don't have to use an app that watchs for new mail and sits in the systray. I figure if I'm going to have a shortcut to my mail client in my quick launch anyway, it might as well also monitor for new messages. For that aspect of it i give it a 5. I've NEVER used any of the other features though.

This program is really only semi-free. Free if you've purchased other software before. It does what it says, but does it with bugs.. and quite a few of them. As noted in previous reviews, this program serves no real purpose. Basically, it opens your email at the server level, rather than at the desktop level, and allows you to do everything there on the server that you would normally do on the desktop. Ditto to the question... why can't you just run outlook express (or any email client) and let it sit open and minimized and allow it to handle your email until you're ready to do in the client what this program is supposed to be for. This program is basically a serious waste of time, and serious waste of programming code. please make available the option for a zero rating, as this one deserves it hands down.

The application installed without any issues. For the first time user it was easy to figure out and utilize. Prior reviews made mention of the app using a large amount of resources, perhaps so but I have had zero problems. If it does what it says for an end user then they acomplished their mission.

it's a buggy email program.
it's not actually freeware.
it's essentially useless if you already have a functioning email program.

This is free if you purchased the serial for True Launch Bar. Besides, there are other truly free apps out there.
