Publisher's Description
Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware monitors all activity in the computer and identifies actions which are typical of ransomware activity. It keeps track of all activity and, once it has enough evidence to determine a certain process or thread to be ransomware, blocks the infection and quarantines the ransomware before it has a chance to encrypt users' files. During development Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware has blocked every single ransomware variant we have thrown at it.

While this program is still in beta people who wrongly think they are protected by Mbam & or Anti-Exploit are suffering ransomware attacks - Until these people get the program into final (and get a proper working program) I recommend people to use either Win Anti-Ransom https://www.winpatrol.com/winantiransom/ Or Zemana Anti-Logger https://www.zemana.com/en-US/AntiLogger .
Actually Malwarebytes has lost a fair amount of credibility lately with a major Anti-Malware product that doesn't protect against ransomware seemingly leisurely preparing the beta.for public use.

@CyberDoc When the app is integrated into their flagship MBAM, there will be a way to recover items from Quarantine, just as there is with MBAM.
Note to all: This is a Beta release and should not be used on a production system unless you are fluent in beta testing and are able to readily recover from errors and problems that you may encounter.
The program is a purchase of a product called CryptoMonitor, as can be read in their blog: https://blog.malwarebyte...es-anti-ransomware-beta/
The program is still undergoing Beta testing to ensure that when it is released as a final product, integrated into MBAM, there will be as minimal problems as there can be concerning false positives as well as missed ransomware that infects a user's machine.
I'm testing it and it is still not ready for prime time consumption, hence the beta status. But, it does its job and it does it well.

this is a great app
But it needs a way to recover the files that it sends to quarantine

@kstev99 If you would of taken a second and read their forums section, they will be integrating both products together when it's out of beta!

While I'm sure this program does as it states, Malwarebytes should make this part of the MBAM program. Luckily I own three LIFETIME licenses to MBAM. First they eliminate the lifetime license thing (unless you're grandfathered in) It sucks now that you have to purchase a yearly subscription Now they take something that SHOULD be part of the Anti-Malware Program and sell it separately.
MBAM is a GREAT product, but it seems obvious that this company is putting profit in fron of their users
