Publisher's Description

Marble is a virtual globe and world atlas - your swiss army knife for maps. Versatile, yet easy to use. Use Marble similar to a desktop globe; pan around and measure distances. At closer scale it becomes a world atlas, while OpenStreetMap takes you to street level. Search for places of interest, view Wikipedia articles, create routes by drag and drop and so much more.

A couple of things:

1. Reliance on Qt. Program fails to run with missing Qt framework dlls. (a show stopper). Installer offers to run the application, but it seems it has not registered the setup properly to do so.

2. While a valiant effort, I can't see the need for this if I already have Google Earth installed (which btw integrates with Google Street View and lets me virtually stand in front looking at my own house). Just not really seeing the value.

Rating low mostly due to my inability to evaluate the program properly due to its failure to run under Windows 10 x64.

The interface is far superior to that of Google Maps. A lot more features, too, just no Street View.

The 32-bit version will ~not~ work on a 64-bit machine (32-bit proggies usually do). Must get the 64-bit version.
