Backup online of my files
I use it for 7 seven days with the trial version and then i bought it.
The program it's fantastic! and the difference with the free version is clear:
The program backup your file in a second and everytime.
Data encryption during transfer, multi language support. so the files are protected.
Multi-system support. (windows, linux, mac)
250g and more, availables

I use for many time a free storage but i lost time and FILES... Trial version is free

Although I downloaded it in hopes of finding a solution to our network issue, it failed to install fully. I get an error stating, "Failed to start the service, Error:997, Overlaped I/O operation in progress". Any idea as to what I might have overlooked?

Well its build into my system 2 an its called Plug and Play Service :-)
Well since I haven’t enabled any of these Services :-)don't need them. So I am not using any sledgehammer. Plug and Play Service is only used for finding new hardware "NEW" :-) Its not that I don’t like the idea behind this software - I really do :-)

And you got the services wrong M8

What service Plug and Play needs to function properly:

None
What other services require Plug and Play to function properly:

Fax Service
Logical Disk Manager

It does exactly what it says. A System service which automatically de-activates any USB or Firewire mass storage device plugged in. Tried it with card readers, USB hard drives and pen drives and it stopped every one. I tried re-enabling through Device Manager and they were disabled instantly.

To the person who said 'why pay money for what is included with Windows', there isn't anything in Windows that does this automatically, it is a completely new item. When finally completed, I will reccomend this bit of software to anyone needing to keep either data or systems secure.

Note to the person above stating disabling the plug and play service achieves the same thing. I quote from Services:

"Enables a computer to recognize and adapt to hardware changes with little or no user input. Stopping or disabling this service will result in system instability."

And the dependencies list:

Logical Disk Manager
Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service
Messenger
Smart Card
Telephony
Windows Audio

Seems a bit of a silly thing, like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, to do when this application does it with a bit more style.

Would be nice with the addition of a whitelist of allowed devices.

*Edit* I was quoting direct from Services in WIndows XP Corp, SP2.

Nice application. I don't know what the other person wasw talking about as you can't do this on Windows using any built in functions.

Until now I have had to remove mass storage support befre installing Windows to be 100% users cannot connect mass storage devices. However this isn't a great solution as it means that I cannot connect anything either.

I would like to see a seperate password to disable the service even to Administrators in a future version so that I can control when it is disabled even to users who are running as Administrators.
