Odd, version 2.8.1 was released early in May of 2008.

Nice update with all the category tabs able to be viewed at once rather than scrolled sideways. Great utility, great design, good price.

Josh Madison's Convert is free, but it's awful. Hard to use with all those tabs. Adding custom units is also a pain.
This is a great utility, but alas, the home page is gone (as I write this). The good news is that as with many video conversion utilities, there are a number of software titles in the unit conversion genre that are the exact same thing under different names. One of the titles that is equivalent to this one is Unit Converter Pro, unitconverterpro.com. I found at least one other utility with the same interface and functionality, but I can't remember its name.

This is handy. However, "Convert" from http://joshmadison.com/software/convert/ is a free. But if you want to know how many handbreadths are in a mile, this is the one for you.

I've had the same license for Master Converter since 2000 and it's the best conversion app UI out there. Works like it should, and you can include external programs to use with it, even add your own conversions if you need.

Simply the best! Anyone needing a converter should give this program a try. It's small, quick, and feature packed. (bobad@mindspring.com)
