LOL, I love it when a reviewer reads my thoughts. I agree with moonbliss, in saying that it is crap. I also know for a fact that anything MCAfee is bogus. A friend of mine used MCAfee for his home business, and it caused his system to crash. I used it on mine and half the time it didn't work. When it did, it would say it couldn't sign in. The biggest joke of all about MCAfee is the EULA (End User Licence Agreement). Their products don't deserva a 1, they need to redefine the rating system on this one. It gets a 0.5..

Anything mcafee is crap...I used mcafee for about an entire year and all it did was ruin the computer, it would tell me a program is bad, when there was nothing wrong with it(I'd use other programs to scan it for potential risks), or it wouldn't even delete a Trojan that it found.....I do NOT like mcafee and have not used them since 2004. And personally Norton is beginning to be that way as well, charging big bucks for stupid programs that you could obviously get free, and that work 10 times better!! they're struggling for competition that is digging a 6 foot hole...(Norton/McAfee)

Newsflash for those that don't know. There are such things as false positives. Norton AV and Mcafee have refined their products to not have very many of these. The point is, if you search a computer with a newly updated Norton or Mcafee AV - and you find a 'virus' - keep an open mind. It could very well be a false positive. I'm not saying they're all that. Personally, I've stopped using Norton/Symantec because of the unecessary plethera of files it has and depends on. I use Avast - which I love because it's lightweight and updates daily, sometimes several times a day.
There's nothing wrong with this program. It does what it says and says what it does. Unfortunately, in light of Spybot and MS Antispyware - they're brave to charge for it. Basically, it's not worth it. Secondly, the scan finds stuff that's not 'malicious' at all. In fact, you can screw your system if you run this and remove all 'shady' items....so I have to take points off. It's for the user who is in the know.

This program upsets me. I feel Symantec/McAfee never detected virus's at a decent rate to begin with. Being mainstream products for antivirus, they figure since spyware has a market, they can make some lame product and jump right in.
My advise, make the software you have the BEST. Leave the spyware detection alone.
It's upsetting to visit family, Internet Security discussions come up and first thing you here from "mom and dad tech" cousin is, "Oh we're not worried, I installed Norton Internet Security, we have nothing to worry about." Now some people would get really upset here, but me I simple navigate to kaspersky.com >> run an online scan, and boom the results show their weakness.
You can take the same approach with adware/spyware.
My point is, use a seperate AV vendor than you do for your Firewall, spyware. If you use Norton/Mcafee for all your needs and there is an exploit for that product, now your vulnerable all the way around.
I'm just throwing it out there, do with it what you will...whatever helps your sleep at night.
