Save your images in this format and they will be doomed. You'll be vendor-locked to MS and their buddies.

IF this image spec is not open sourced or better yet put into the public domain, it will go the same way as the AOL .art image format. Never heard of it? Exactly.

Everybody wants a replacement for JPEG, GIF or more professionnal image format.
But to succeed, it must be integrated EVERYWHERE.
IE, Firefox, XnView, PaindDotNet, Windows, Linux, MacOS.
The only possibility to succeed is to Open the Sources.
