Publisher's Description

This is a technology preview of IPv6 for Windows 2000. It is not a production quality implementation and should only be used for research or testing. It is not intended for production use. IPv6 is a new suite of standard protocols for the network layer of the Internet. It is the future of networking. It is designed to solve many of the problems of the current version of IP (known as IPv4) with regard to address depletion, security, autoconfiguration, extensibility, and more. Its use will also expand the capabilities of the Internet to enable a variety of valuable and exciting scenarios, including peer-to-peer and mobile applications.

I can't imagine why this is news at this time. This Tech Preview release is dated Dec 5, 2000, so it is very old, and not really supported anymore (if it has been supported at all :) by Microsoft. It does work properly, however, and I have used it quite extensively. These days I've upgraded to Windows XP, which contains a newer version of the Microsoft IPv6 stack.
Note to FunkyFred3k and others trying to install this on Windows 2000 SP2 or higher: please see the FAQ at http://msdn.microsoft.co...platform/tpipv6/faq.asp for more information. The first 2 items explain how to install on SP3 and SP2, respectively.

This is a great program! The latest version includes chatting and audio feeds.. now if I can figure out how to stream the adio that will be cool. Basically no one needs a client to see you and hear you, they just use their browser! And mind you, this is all with the "crippled" free version. :) I could buy it but I don't find myself needing the pro features, and I don't mind the logo in the bottom of the broadcast window, which is the thing I would change if I bought it.
