Issue that is addressed in Windows Installer 3.1 (v2)
• Windows Installer no longer fails silently when the installer tries to update a file that is protected by the Windows File Protection feature.

I don't know who posted this, but it's only for Win9X. It's also the client component and not the for developers.

If you have Win2k Pro, you may already have this installer package. Check the version number before downloading. The file is here: C:\WINNT\system32\msiexec.exe -- My version number was 2.0.2600.2; same as the download.

I got an error saying invalid OS when trying to install on Windows 200o Pro SP2, i am assuming this is like previous versions one being for 9X and one for NT based. If so where is the NT version? If not so then what am i doing wrong :-/
