Are those BeOS icons? I miss BeOS. Don't think I'll try this out being alpha and all. But hey, a new OS is always good. 3

Neutral as I haven't tried it. But i _really_ like the idea of providing a base system and therefore development framwork for a linux os!

From thier own page:
"Its core is based on a Linux kernel and software from the GNU project.
The desktop environment uses TrollTech's Qt 4.x, the most advanced toolkit with support for OpenGL, pixel-based graphics, vector-based graphics and a powerful model-view architecture."
Simply put, Mockup is a Linux OS with a custom GUI. I am all for that as both Gnome and KDE have been following the MicroSoft pathway of "more is better"
Maybe they will release their desktop as a stander linux package for other distributions. I would try it. For now, Ubuntu Linux serves my user friendly needs.

You either have to have a lot of faith or be pretty naive to download and install an alpha based on so little info. "Open Source" covers a very large territory.
