Publisher's Description
MultiProxy is a multifunctional personal proxy server. It could help you to speed up your downloads, especially if you are trying to get several files from overseas or from otherwise rather slow server, to protect your privacy by dynamically connecting to public non-transparent anonimizing proxy servers only. You can also test a list of proxy servers and sort them by response time and level of non-transparency.

Really good!
Get the full list of proxys, select the best for you.
Some proxys are good to download files, others to connect to icq, napster.
Some people use to be "anonymous". Others to get more than one direct way to their files.
other good progs to use with it: Flashget, http-proxy, WinMx- yes it has resume from napster server.

I love this program! I usually get 4-6kbps from sites, I was downloading an important 30meg file, and I was only getting about 0.5 to 1.5kbps, I remembered seeing this app on betanews a few months earlier, so I looked for it and downloaded it. After using it, the download went up to a steady 5.4kbps! It increases the speeds on tons of slow sites, and when a site isn't loading at all, sometimes I can get it working with multiproxy! As for using port 1234, same as some trojans.... who cares? its a simple port, this isn't no trojan, so this doesn't worry me. (1234, same as asdf! :)

well. the program itself worked flawlessly, although my download speed dropped from 7 kb/s to 2-3 kb/s. guess it has something to do with my current location in Norway. certainly a good idea, but i have yet to find a fast proxy server.

Helpful in preventing accidental infections from dangerous code such as the "I love you" bug and others like it. Good idea to install it.

OK, good thing no one else has posted. You can read both posts together. I have played with MultiProxy for a bit and my suspicions were unfounded. This program works very well, and (my bad for not R'ingTFM) allows you to choose which port to use. It does what it says it does, and does it well. Rare for a beta. Good stuff.
