Publisher's Description

MyIM is a multi-purpose plugin for AOL Instant Messenger. It removes the advertisements from the Buddy List, allows you to configure which toolbars are displayed on the Buddy List, provides optional IM/Chat logging, provides the ability to run multiple copies of AIM at once, includes support for transparent windows (Windows 2000/XP only), and allows you to edit your profile directly.

AIM+ took MyIM's idea to remove tabs. AIM+ is poorly coded and has lots of bugs. MyIM is coded to perfection. AIM+ is spyware, MyIM is not. This gets 5 stars from me. Also, MyIM has a MUCH better logging system than AIM+, and the cloneing is basically the same. Much better than AIM+

My experiences with this program indicate it is a very stable application. AIM+ does have most of the same features. Using either one seems to be a simple matter of preference. BTW: MyIM seems to have been around a little longer than AIM+ (Check the history revisions/dates). All in all, I still use Trillian over AOL AIM client anyways.

does what it says but AIM+ is still the best with its excellent Cloning so you can run loads of AIM at the same time with different accounts :D. But do you microsoft haters know that a MS software writer made it? hehe

Bah! This new program is a silly dupe of AIM+, without all the nice touches that make AIM+ great. Everything is copied straight from AIM+, long after AIM+ had these features.. Competition is great, but why make a an app with absolutely nothing new or different? I don't get it, AIM+ is rock solid, and just plain rules!

i have to disagree, this program is fantastic. originally, i used the aim with logging and a prog called deadaim, then i tried switching to aim+, which was ok but was still sorta buggy and the logging wasnt as good. this prog has a much more stable system.

ok...this feature has been done millions of times over and over again with the removal of the ads and the other features in this thing are already included in AIM+ which is alot better then this. Just another wannabe AIM+

This program is clearly violating the DMCA, purposefully stripping ads from a revenue generating device and therefore denying AOL that revenue. WOOHOO! I LOVE PROGRAMS LIKE THIS.

AOL would have the makers labeled as "PIRATES" and "THIEVES" because, of course, only AOL/TW really cares about the consumer. Of course there is a market for this product AOL just doesn't like that the market is so large.
