This program would have been great.. in 1987. For nearly every task the command-line is uselessly outdated. Why bother with this?

not too bad but i think i'd really like to see a command line FTP.exe replacement that offers many more features .. kinda like 4DOS was for DOS if u know what i mean...

This program is just fine! I don't like always fooling around with my mouse. Using this program for years now (especially on Linux) and it just works nice. Fast and smooth, the Win32 GUI is _not_ always the solution guys :|
Ofcourse, most GUI clients has more options but then again as someone below also said, this one is very multi-platform.

Well put, this is complete wait of data storage space and bandwidth usage when created. It's obsolete, and their are soo many new programs that are much easier to use and that are also free. I give credit where credit is due, but this was a waste. Why not focus on something more needy and useful

NFTP runs on BeOS, Digital Unix, FreeBSD, Linux, OS/2, Solaris, and Windows. Text-mode is the best way to get that kind of cross platform compatibility without a lot of work. Obviously, there are many prettier Windows GUI FTP clients, but the beauty of NFTP is that you can use it pretty much anywhere, which is damn cool when your work requires you to deal with lots of different hardware and OS combinations. NFTP rocks.

Why make a program like this? Windows is GUI based so why take a step backwards and use cli programs?
Please stop making it.

Great FTP-client, fast barebone and no GUI.
Supports must platforms Win32 thru OS/2 and Unixes.
Connects even to OS/390.
Give this client and yourself the chance and NFTP will wind.
Best FTP-client ever.

Can anybody explain to me who's still using TEXT-Based FTP? Are we're in the days of 386 or something where we don't have enough memory or hard drive space?
I wouldn't mind giving this program a higher rating, but paying money for TEXT-Based FTP? Give me a break...
