The full version DOES work on Windows 2000 -- See www.ntcompatible.com for information. You must delete a DLL to make it work. I believe it was GIMME.DLL.

I just wish that they would gove these new games Windows 2000 support!!! The demo works fine on Win2k, but the full version won't work. Come on guys, give us a patch... Beyond that the game is outstanding; worth every one of those 5 stars!

I like the game. The improved car physics and graphics are a great improvement over NFS High Stakes. The reason I gave it a 3 is because it lacks the replay details that NFSHS has. The speedometer, tach, timer and the ability to switch between different drivers, is missing from the relays. I am not going to buy it until it includes replay stats.

I definitely agree with stevepake. ive also owned every single nfs game from 1-5. this is definitely by far the best nfs game released. ive played this for awhile now, and have been through the evolution and the factory driver mode (which is a welcome addition), and i must say that it is very addicting (and FUN!). i especially like the way that you can modify the cars by buying parts and installing them. much like gran turismo, but imho i think this is an easier game to play w/ less hassle than GT. i cant wait for the next release of the series. with each nfs, it just gets better. perhaps an all bmw version is in the works (hopefully)? i would love to race an ///M5... :)

NFS Porsche is AWESOME !!! I've owned every Need for Speed title since the original (except High Stakes) and this is by far the best one !! The Evolution mode is great and the cars are very customizable and the tracks look incredible!! Best yet, NFS Porsche WORKS GREAT UNDER WINDOWS 2000. The game may say that Windows 2000 is "not supported", but it works just fine under Win2k. NFS1 was great, NFS2 and NFS3 were marginal, I heard High Stakes was pretty good too, but this is by far the best Need for Speed title in awhile. Definitely get this game if you're a racing fan! I found it at ELBO in the US for only $30 USD. See you on the track...
