Publisher's Description
NoClone finds and removes duplicate files, folders and similar photos regardless of file name. Time-saving Smart marker filters duplicates for removal or archival. You may not realize how many duplicate files you have after downloaded many files from the Internet or duplicate files scattered over your home or corporate network. Duplicate files are usually redundant and unnecessary, so keeping them is merely a waste of valuable hard disk space. Your hard drives may be full of documents, mp3, photos and video and many of them are redundant.

I dont know what they done, but they've somehow managed to make it slower than version 4. They've also added a downloader so that you can save time/bandwidth to downloading duplicate files.
version 4 was faster. i've been sitting here for the past 10minutes waiting for version 5 to mark the files that are duplicates and its using 99% of the cpu whilst its doing it and in the end had to use task manager to end the task, in 4 would have taken a minute.

Not good. It's just an advertisement for the commercial version. The GUI is horrible, not what you see in the screen shot above. The program is very large. There are tiny 1 file programs that handle this chore much better, for free.

NoClone front end has serious usability issues that a serious programmer would not permit.
Column widths for Year and Comments, for example, are almost the same as file path. While these are adjustable, a variety of actions (expanding a column past monitor display view, clicking on a column header to sort), eliminate these adjustments. There is no way to save the view the way you want it.
In addition, in the middle of my first and second session, I was prompted to purchase NoClone. When I clicked away the message, my sessions were wiped out. This is 30-40 minutes of work reviewing and tagging duplicate files.
This is no way to get someone to like your program.
It's puzzling why the programmer did not concentrate on simple usability features, since this program potentially has a lot it could offer.
After it destroyed my first two sessions, I am uninstalling this program, and not purchasing as intended. Being nagged to purchase is one thing, kicking a trial user out of a session because it isn't purchased within an hour or two of downloading is atrocious and not very user friendly.

I like NoClone and this is a nice version upgrade, but have since moved on to CloneSpy, which is significantly faster and cleaner.

Good points JMM, and I won't deny that Mo-Search is a great alternative. Mo-Search's ranking algorithm is both accurate and intuitive.

Overall it works well, but the GUI is quite the jumble and is Pay-ware. Mo-Search is free and has an integrated Find Duplicate Files tool that uses MD4 to compare files and integrates into Windows Explore: Just right click on a folder to [Find Duplicate Files]. It also groups duplicate files and sorts by wasted space – so you deal with the worst offenders first. Anyway, that is my 2 cents.

OK, but I still like the freeware Duplicate Files Finder better.
"Zridling" -- dunno what you mean by::
"DFF leaves you wondering where the features are, but NoClone finishes what most duplicate file finders only start." Huh? DFF's features are there! Admittedly, it does have an issue or 2 to work out, but I'm wondering exactly what you're saying?
Anyway, I give this one a "3."

Freeware like DFF leaves you wondering where the features are, but NoClone finishes what most duplicate file finders only start. Dup Detector is the best freeware option presently available in this category. Oh, and Tokar, I'm not a software author of any kind, nor am I a blind freeware zealot, so dial your trolling down a notch — if you want to write spam reviews of other software, go to that app's page and do it, not here. And one last thing: Diff Commander isn't freeware.

Wow, this program compares to the same quality of Flexible Renamer. I strongly recommend NoClone for its speed, ease of use, and simple, straightforward interface and overall design.
