NotepadEx is a Notepad replacement which adds search & replace, recent files list, optional status bar with cursor position and file size, always on top function and html/xml preview. This program still has the look-and-feel of the standard Notepad.

After installation, a rather scary message appeared indicating some "critcal Windows files had been replaced with unfamiliar versions - please insert your WindowsXP installation disk."
I had used TOTAL UNINSTALL to test this, so I'm hoping it restored everything OK.

Very nice enhaced Notepad.
It does what it says. I only could improve it by making a bit smaller and faster.
XP Notepad is 69 Kb, NotepadEx is 614. I know it is multilanguage, and adds some features, but it is still great.

I have to say that this is a damn good notepad replacement.
Its not an advanced program, just a nice simple notepad.
An with a few more features than windows´s notepad...
I have been looking for a long time for a program like this :)
