Are you guys crazy? This thing can't even render gmail properly, and it's ridiculously slow.

I wanted desperately for it to work because I'm sick of firefox crashes. But this is unusable.

Relatively stable for an alpha build off Ubuntu 2.6.27-9-generic, the new Presto engine is noticeably faster at rendering than the previous version. Though it is a good idea to do so, existing 9.x profiles do not need to be rebuilt for compatibility. Four out of five for crashing just one time under heavy use within the last day.

The x64 version is just too good on my Ubuntu x64. Its super fast and even with mutliple windows open, it never bogs.

Powerful. Stable. Fast. Highly customizable. And doesn't crash. How do you beat that!

This, for me, is probably The Best Linux Browser that I have tried.

Unlike Firefox, it seems to come with the Flash plugin built into the installation, which is very convenient.

I like the wide array of skins, though I do wish I could change the relative position of the items at the top, such as the menu, button bar, personal bar and address bar.

I'm used to having the address bar directly under the menu, then the personal bar (links) and finally the tabs under that. It is a minor annoyance but one I really do wish I could correct.

I'd like it even more if it had some additional tab capabilities, such as being able to specify the default page that will load when you do add a tab, uniform tab widths and a few other things.

That said though, even if I just use the browser abilities, it's a pretty solid Linux app and the interface fonts seem to render better than Firefox does.

I look forward to ongoing updates.

BTW, I have to say, I really like the primary icon for Opera. It is a very attractive design. :)
