Publisher's Description

PWShow is a small utility that reveals the hidden passwords behind the asterisks (or other substitutive characters) of some edit boxes. This can be extremely useful in programs such as FTP clients and other such programs which cover up passwords for added security.

This software was formerly maintained by CollakeSoftware, now Bitsum Technologies. I, the developer, still use this little tool, though don't distribute it. Amazingly, it is one of the few password revealers from the old days that still works up to Win7 even (despite new protections)!

To users: NOT ALL PASSWORDS CAN BE REVEALED. Some passwords have more security that others. No magical tool can reveal truly secured passwords. This is just for cases where the edit box has ******** (web browsers and some secure apps excluded).

If there is interest, I will republish this thing just as it is (with a URL change). Email at support@bitsum.com if you want to encourage that.

2)Launch pwshow.
3)Then click F10. The password is revealed.

Works fine for my DUN Connections and WS_FTP but man I could have used this a couple of days ago, before I vaped my OS and ended up playing the infamous "guess the e-mail logon password" game. Nice Util, small and über groovy :)

I had a really hard time getting it to work (I couldn't), however if you can figure it out it'll be a really cool idea.
