PhoneDeck 1.3 is definitely one of the great "Oldie-But-Goodie" basic phone/address programs to keep all of your numbers in one place for easy access.
However, older versions of PhoneDeck used to be capable of connecting your stored phone numbers directly to your phone line. PhoneDeck 1.3 does not have that capability anymore. Also there is no way to password protecting the information that you keep stored in PhoneDeck.
The "final" release of PhoneDeck (version 1.3) is stable; however it is important to note that the PhoneDeck developer’s site: Tranglos Software site is closed as of Oct 2005 - see: http://www.tranglos.com/free/closedown.html
No support or new releases will be offered in the future and the developer is no longer taking e-mail support requests. Additionally; even the developer Marek Jedlinski himself admits to the fact that the latest releases of all the applications at Tranglos Software are inferior to similar, newer products.
Therefore I give this program only a "three stars" rating.

It's still not quite as lightweight as I'd prefer an address book to be, but I've tried lighter ones before, and none can beat Phonedeck's interface. It just makes organizing, then locating, the info. stored therein easier than those other programs. It's also headed into open-source, as of the next major release, which gives me another good reason to stick with it.
