okay, I'll just reveal that this is based on mplayer, so the playback is reliable but then it comes with some typical limitations.
i like the design. the playlist reminds me of faststone imageviewer. it would make more sense if it had thumbnails and i imagine that this will be a future feature ... but I would worry about the performance ..
the fullscreen should have the same buttonset as window mode. like why would i not want to acces the playlist in fullscreen and where is the close button?! Alt+F4 feels dirty.
i am missing most mplayer shortcuts like q and taking snapshots without save dialoge.
a mad feature would be, saving screenshots with the videofilename+incrementalnumber in video folder. should be an mplayer feature.
4 stars because i want to be friendly with a newcommer. (it was a 0 if judged by the fact that i will not use it ...)

looks promising, but for now theres a lot missing
-memory management needs to be tweaked a little. as it stands, its not that bad now, but other players do more with less memory
-no option for upsampling, and you cant watch videos in fullscreen unless they match your screen's resolution
-i like the interface and overall feel of the program. and the duck :P
thats everything major that i noticed right off the bat. looks like it has potential.
