Still facing challenges as the auto detect for ASCII and binary still fail to work properly. This causes file corruption when zftpServer does not correctly identify the transfer type. This issue mainly happens with text files however I have also seen it corrupt other types of data files. I encourage everyone try what I have explained and see for yourself. The writer is lazy and does not take people's issues seriously. Updates are slow to come, he says he'll add things that are requested but you'll be waiting aeons for it to be added if it ever is added.
The idea of zFTPServer is great it is very flexible and loaded with features but lacks a flexible and controllable security panel where the admin can select allowable ciphers for SSL and SSH2.
However, because of the bug mentioned above and since it causes data corruption I cannot recommend this software to anyone.

Excellent server. I used WarFTPd and GuildFTPd quite extensively, tried G6 and a few others, and eventually found zFTPServer. It's "just right", offers a good balance of features and simplicity, and has excellent performance and stability.
