Publisher's Description
RainFish is a high security text encryptor and password manager. Its primary function is to encrypt email text in preparation for in-line transmission. It performs the same essential text-handling functions as PGP, but without the use of Public Key Infrastructure. Instead, messages are encrypted and/or signed using a combination of MD5, SHA-1, Rijndael ("RAIN-doll", the new Advanced Encryption Standard), Blowfish (a well-known and widely respected block cipher), and PC1 (a stream cipher 100% compatible with RC4). The output is encoded in Base64 format in order to facilitate problem-free email transmission and/or text storage. It also includes a module to reveal the presence of any keyboard sniffers or keystroke monitors, etc.
