Ahh, nice, it maximizes now.
Yes, I can see the use of this. I just discovered that Internet Explorer is wasting about 1mb of space in the registry for me, despite having removed it with nLite. I don't know how far you want to take this, but this would be a very good framework for a program with plugins. One of those group knowledge things - if people can easily script it with analyze/backup/delete commands, so that it knows what's useless and can be removed, then you'd immediately have a useful app that everyone wants installed.
I mean, someone could create a menu order cleaner that analyzes duplicates under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder and checks if the .lnk files exist or something. Yes, high hopes I suppose, but doable.
I think you need to add a find feature. :)

I'm the author and just wanted to respond - the program is still in the early stages (I would've designated it alpha quality, but decided that it was past that). The interface will go through lots of work, but I just wanted to get it out the door. Registry defragmentation won't do anything (XP automatically defrags registry hives, and you can manually do it with the PageDefrag utility from Sysinternals for NT4 and 2000). I made this since I was annoyed by how my old laptop's registry added up to 50 megs and keeps growing steadily, and registry hives take up RAM, and so I wanted to make an easier utility than MS's DuReg which is a CLI app.

After reading the previous reviews, I must agree that this is certainly incomplete. Any program that is going to allow us to see wasted space needs to provide us a way to recover it. Perhaps a registry defragmenter should be included. It's not a bad idea though. Please listen to our suggestions and make this program better by adding these features.

I agree with Kramy. This is a very interesting bit of software which needs more work to be useful. Just giving us the information on how much space a key or process takes isn't of much use to those of us who haven't a clue about what this actually means. But I can see where in future versions, this application will tell us what keys are useless and should be removed.
The application works well, so I must give it at least a 4. But since I don't know exactly what to do with it (and I suspect that most others won't have a clue what to do with it, too), so I cannot add the additional point to make it a 5.

Cool! Now I can see how much memory is being wasted by programs that stupidly leave registry keys behind! The interface seems quite easy to use, though it needs a maximize button.
I can see that this could become a very interesting program. It would be very great if it had key filters and things, for example if it were able to detect what is installed, then it could show you potentially-useless left behind junk.
