Rights Management Add-on for Internet Explorer lets you view content with restricted permission in Internet Explorer. These restrictions help people to prevent sensitive documents, Web-based information, and e-mail messages from being forwarded, edited, or copied by unauthorized individuals.
Document authors, Web site authors, and creators of Web-based applications can deliver protected information by restricting permission. This provides protection, not only while the information is in transit, but also after the recipient of the information has received it.

Does its job. This is critical if you use permissions for your email in Outlook 2003 and you want your email to be readable by people not using Outlook.

All it seemed to do was add a non-working options to my menus. One option does nothing, the other opens webpages in Excel. And since we are discussing DRM.. DRM is a good idea, but having to PAY to use it (you have to license it from Microsoft) is stupid. You should be able to protect your content whether you have a lot of money or just a little.

You're kidding, right? Against DRM? If it must be hidden, that doesn't mean it's not good. DRM is used to protect proprietary digital assets, as well as encrypt them. Can you cause a message to expire, or prevent it from being copied/printed with PGP? No. That's what DRM is all about -- putting the power to expire rights to content in the hands of the content creator. Think about being a web designer, and giving clients access to a staged version of their website, only they can't snarf the HTML, or steal the images. That's what DRM allows you to do.

Actually I think you'll find that your aim is off and that wrong they're against the Rights Management rather than MS. And rightly so - if it needs to be hidden, chances are it's not good. Consequently, 1 star.
