This program is dangerous, I installed to see if the negative info I had heard was correct - It is. The interface looks like it was created by a ten year old, though the worst part is attempting to uninstall.

The program does uninstall though it also removes all items from start-up such as malwarebytes, O&O Clever cache, Pro Lasso etc, along with needed parts of windows including IE.

The program is useless you buy it though I wouldn't recommend doing that to my worst enemy. It is also very expensive

This is the worst program I have EVER used, do not install it, I had a full image to restore - You may be stuck trying to repair what this utter piece of junk caused. IMHO it is a piece of scam-ware.

No Star's.

My neighbor's computer was completely messed up by this program and it took me hours to remove it. After staying up past 1am trying to remove this crap, I was so ticked off that I was ready to physically destroy the computer! Out of curiosity, I installed this on a fresh WindowsXP install (using VirtualPC) and it claimed I was infested with spyware! Avoid at all costs!

I installed STOPZilla on two different computers. 1rst:WinXP SP2 hijacked as a zombie computer by multiple malwares/spywares/Trojans. 2nd: Vista 64, secured by F-Secure and totally free of any malwares.
STOPZilla never told before the end of the scan that we should register and pay for the usage of their services before being able to cleanup the found malwares. Other similar applications allow a trial period or at least just don't initially distribute it free. The software take hours to complete a scan, create anticipation from the customers and finally ask for an online registration and payment. We have to keep in mind that at that time, the customer's computer is infected by stealwares. Thus, they force the customers to expose their banking accesses to be exploited by hackers. Then, based on hopes, they constrain the clients to accept totally unacceptable risks.
I discovered that iS3 STOPZilla act itself as a chronic spyware hard to uninstall. This is the list of actions we have to complete to properly un-install the software:
1) Launch the STOPZilla uninstaller
2) Use systernal's rootkit revealer and manually eliminate the rootkit.
3) Use systernal's procexp to reveal all processes that handle iS3 dlls and close them to be able to remove the dlls manually. iS3 dlls exploit firewall authorized application to get a silent access to the Internet.
4) Clean up the Windows register to eliminate tons of iS3/STOPZilla entries.
5) Restore the last known good restore-point created just before the STOPZilla installation.
6) Repair Windows by using the Windows installation CD / Repair.
7) WindowsUpdate.
8) Clean the intranet firewall log file that contains tons of suspicious tries to access external sites coming from processes that were handling the IS3/STOPZilla .
Conclusion, the software is used to do non-ethical business and we can say that it’s more a Spyware that claims to be an anti-spyware.

Stay far away from this crap as possible!!!
it has very poor detection!

it's a resource hog.

What you get here is a paid program that does less then better free antispyware apps!

and the awards listed on their site are fake, at least they appear to be!(IMHO)

See what happens when you try to uninstall...(nag)

its a sham i can't go lower then 1 :(

First thing is nefarious1 must be an idiot!
Even someone who worked for Zilla would not have written a comment like that! If he’s a salesman I would expect that he would not be working for Zilla anymore! It’s just rubbish.

Anyway I found that StopZilla is quite a handy little program, recently I got a real horribly spy ware (virprotect) which I found to be a complete nightmare, after hours of trying to get rid of it, I found that Stopzilla was the only program on the market to do so. Note at the time, Virprotect had only just been on the internet just over 24 hours.

The only problem I have only come across with Stopzilla is that it detected a file from DirectX as a spy ware which I didn’t realized at the time, and removed it! Doh!!!

'nefarious1' you must clearly work for these guys, or smoke huge amounts of crack while reading 'windows for dummies'. I mean, $5,000...come on.

Either way, seek help. This is a joke of a program, uselessly effective the install size should give that away and the thing produces more false positives than any other anti-spyware program i've ever used.

Stop Zilla sucks. Shame on the admin for the attention.

Interesting to note how my previous comment was deleted. Apparently the STOPzilla people don't appreciate bad reviews and b**** about it.

Where to begin with how awful this software is. First it tries to pull you in via its use of the "zilla" postfix. Which unlike every other highly regarded "zilla" app this one ISN'T freeware.

For anti-spyware / adblocking software is sure does put an awful lot of junk I didn't ask for on my system.

It modifies your system without telling you what the hell its doing, difficult to uninstall, and when installed you end up with a serious degradation of performance...sounds like the definition of malware to me, exactly what this software is supposed to help cure.

Stay far away.

To STOPzilla - If you don't want people to post their opinions of your piece of crap then don't post your crap on sites which allow comments.

The SINGLE BEST APPLICATION in the history of humankind. I had my doubts at first, but after trying STOPzilla, I was impressed beyond belief. I can't help it--my jaw will not get off the floor. The interface, the performance, the features, the price--it's all the best, simply wonderful. I'd pay $5,000 for this application. Yes, I mean it. So incredible I can't get over it. I may begin needing diapers now.
