Publisher's Description

Say the Time is an attractive timepiece that announces the date, time, or both, at specified intervals using a male or a female voice. Along with literally telling the time, it lets you set multiple reminders, each of which can display a message, play a sound, or run a program. Reminders can also be set to recur hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or at start up.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! It is mediocre, overpriced, and the seller is disreputable. I bought Version 9 but could not move it to a new PC because it is no longer available for download -- not anywhere. They offered me Version 10 for $20, but the application is not worth half that. I say they are disreputable because they have made it impossible to contact someone by phone to hash out problems. If you have any support issues, which you will, you will be SOL, since their e-mail tech support -- one person named Amy, apparently -- takes weeks to get back to you if she bothers to respond at all.

One more thing: the announce feature is actually an annoyance. Who wants a robotic voice announcing the time when you can see it perfectly well in this applications task bar display?

Bring me ...ERROR!!!... on 32-bit OS. Even with version 11 out, still bring me the same thing. What a shame :(

With version 9, I would have given Say the Time a rating of 5 stars. Version 10, while enhancing the user interface, has a "dumbed down" approach to setting reminders that totally frustrates me. I've had several discussions with Provenio Software, and we just don't see eye to eye on it. I've reverted back to version 9, and there I'll stay unless they fix some glaring loss of functionality. For example, in version 10, you can no longer schedule a reminder for every 4 weeks ... no, your only option is once a month. I've tried to explain to them that there IS a difference. I'm scheduled in a revolving task (with 3 other people), which means that my turn comes up every 4 weeks. I can't say once a month, because that doesn't work out. With version 9 that is no problem. In version 10, it's impossible. They don't care. They told me it was "too confusing" for people. My response was, "what is confusing about every 4 weeks - can't get much simpler than that".

Other than that, the program is a good one, and as I say, the interface has been spruced up a bit over version 9 - but I'm afraid I'm stuck at version 9 for now at work. I do use version 10 at home, however .... I suppose, until I have a need to clean my drains every 4 weeks ... 8-)

Really useful!

You can customize the clock to your (visual) preferences. Addtionally you have a world time clock, notes functionality(optional sticky note on the desktop), reminders, countdown clock, calendar, moon phase indicator, time synchronization......

I think this is a good program. I used Voiceclock for ages but this one seems to deliver a better far better female voice and more time options in one package. Although I have a bug with this beta because I can't find the icon anywhere after install so I can't configure it.
