The guy who gives this TWO bad reviews, says "Port Forwarding in this day and age" and then recommends Anydesk doesn't have a clue. This works the same way as Teamviewer and Anydesk except YOU are providing the backend service instead of relying on theirs. That means no expensive renewals for commercial customers. Anydesk AND Teamviewer are hardly free for business. Screenconnect is not targeted for the individual user that wants to access his PC from home. If that's all you want, Teamviewer and Anydesk are both very good for that. If you're comparing Apples to Apples, ScreenConnect is a fantastic deal for the business user as an alternative to those products.

I normally don't take the time to post reviews, but based on the comments I feel compelled. I have no association with the creators of ScreenConnect, but recently purchased it to support customer PCs/Servers, etc. For ~$300 I get all the features. The same with teamviewer is $1499. I like, and use, teamviewer, but if used in a business environment, it will time out after a certain amount of use. I also use Logmein as an installed server support. ScreenConnect is a low cost option to do adhoc customer support. It does have the ability to install as a service for always available connections. This is NOT a product targeted to home users. For that use teamviewer, ammyy, or logmein free. For business users or IT support it is a great product.

I wonder if by any chance Trixxie could have anything whatsoever with the software company or am I just too cynical.

I really like ScreenConnect and the developers and support behind the software have been great! I recently switched after using and paying way to much for GoToAssist for years. ScreenConnect has all the functionality and features that I use for remote support. It may not be quite as involved as something like GTA or Bomgar, but half of the features I didn't even use and was still paying for them. The install process of ScreenConnect was a bit more involved as I had to do some port forwarding, but once I got through that hurdle it was a breeze. Am really loving it and would recommend it to anyone from a small business (like me) to an large corporation IT group. Also if you check google ratings they have close to 5/5 stars, with ~100 reviews, so that should tell you right there.
