Seven Open opens any type of files with 7-Zip File Manager. 7-Zip File Manager accepts only archive files and directories to start with. Shortcut files are not allowed. Seven Open bypasses those limitations. Dropping files onto the program icon of Seven Open starts 7-Zip File Manager. Shortcut files are dereferenced. Archive files and directories are handled as usual. For non-archive files, their parent directories are opened.

Well, it works. I have no argument with the program (rather script) at all, but find the 7-Zip file manager is a tad weak. If it had a "Tree View", I would probably use it as my file manager. If you use 7-Zip (who doesn't?) try it, you may like it fine as a file manager without a tree view.
