I agree with BNuster, also while doing it the old fashioned way isn't hard... I have a 500 mh computer running almost 600 gigs. Doing it the old fashioned way takes forever and you have to do it to each individual folder... this speeds it up and makes it easier... and you can't beat free!!

Friends, what is this? I only see one reason for a bad rating so far, and that is from the person which had issues fireing up the application. The others complain about a FREEWARE app, with minimal size (24KB), and give bad ratings never using that application? Reinvention of the wheel? You use e.g. Mozilla, even if you have IE on your System? Reeinvention of the wheel!!!
Yes, rating it 3 doesn't rate it so-so, it rates it BAD. Don't rate if you have not to say anything constructive (=positive or negative).
I don't know what to say...seriously.

Havent tried it but I actually see a potential for this. I disabled simple file sharing, created new shared with explicit grants to my user, but whatever I do I cannot get read access from my Linux laptop.
If a utility like this simplifies it, then great.

What was so hard about right-clicking on "My Computer" and choosing "Manage"?

Tried it on 2 WinXP Pro SP2 Computers.
All I get when trying to change something is:
"Sorry, due to an unidentified error, this program need to be restarted."
I think I'll stick to the old and reliable MMC.

"The reason I developed this simple tool was I did not find a convenient and centralized tool under windows to do this thing. Though today I know how to do that through MMC, I still prefer my own tool. If you are interested, you can find it here. Below is a screenshot listing all shared folders once on my computer. "
