Publisher's Description
ShortKeys is a text replacement utility. Type a few characters and it will replace them with up to 3000 keystrokes. Great for repetitive text needs. Automate tedious and repetitive typing. Reduce errors. You will be amazed how much time it can save. It monitors the keyboard activity on a global nature and anytime a user defined keystroke combination is typed in, it is replaced with the replacement text.

I now agree with brotherS — AutoHotkey is a far more complete solution to hotkey and hotstring management.

If you want it very easy this might be your tool, otherwhise try AutoHotkey. Does the same stuff for me for free.

I've now got to agree with PC Rat: Fanix has now priced As-U-Type out of its own market. ShortKeys is a far better value than As-U-Type now. ShortKeys provides not only a find dialog, but an internal spellcheck utility and unlike As-U-Type, allows you to define any key combination — including the Win key — or acronym/word as a trigger for text replacement. Can't believe this is a minor update.

Like better than As-U-Type, and is $20 rather than the $50 for As-U-Type.

Not bad for what it does, but a much more complete solution is As-U-Type, found at: http://www.asutype.com/
