I'll dissent. StudioLine Basic shares one of the worst interfaces in the history of programming. It's bloated, slow, and likes to take over many settings on your computer that you've assigned to other programs. Steer clear.

I find StudioLine Photo 2 and StudioLine Basic to be great products that live up to all the expectations noted on www.studioline.biz. Their image management capabilities are excellent and easy to use. It is also great to find a freeware product like StudioLine Basic. However, even at $49.00, you can't beat the price of StudioLine Photo 2.
I encourage any photographer to try StudioLine Photo 2!

I just downloaded. It came with a link to get a free activation code. Worked flawless - and, indeed, was free.
There is also a try-before-you-buy shareware version - so the previously reviewer probably got confused.

I can't believe it is free!
This product did everything I expected it to do and it was free - amazing. There is no other reason to get another product for all your digital image needs.
