Had to use this today to clean a friend's computer. Froze when running in windows, but worked well when computer was restarted in safe mode. Cleaned entire infection in about 10 minutes.

The addition of a checkbox for mapped drives is good, CLI switches can be cumbersome sometimes. I don't have a problem with the FixTool scanning every file on the PC, because viruses like this one will make a duplicate of itself in almost every folder on the PC; a virus like Klez or Magistr would try and trash every exe file on your PC. If you only want to scan your whole HD at once, that's what the full AV product is for. These fixtools are only for a pinch, such as when the virus beat out your LiveUpdate defs.

Although I think this program (and all the other Symantec removal tools like it) are solid and are great at what they're supposed to do, I believe that scanning every file on your computer once FOR EACH virus/trojan/worm is a bit excessive... what if you think you may be infected by 8 different virusses, do you download all 8 removal tools and scan each file 8 times?

Without trying to spam any other software (not my intention) I think Symantec should have gone the Mcafee way and deployed a program such as Stinger.
