TVicPort are general purpose device drivers, they allow you to access and control hardware directly from within an application without using the Windows DDK. It provides programmers with standard methods for real-time direct access to port I/O, obtains pointers to the physical memory by directly mapping it to the user process's address space, specific support for LPT ports and IDE hard disk hardware inso (include serial number) - without requiring you to write a custom virtual device driver or a kernel-mode driver.
