The metal detectors can be called vehicle inspection which have a good function of detecting metals and even some potential danger signals. They can bring much safety and convenience to people's life. We have to admit that the advanced technology always gives us surprise and joy. And you can get know how metal detectors work through the http://www.detectorall.c...egories/Metal-Detectors/.

I must have been Living on the dark side of the Moon, In a Cave, With fingers in my Ears, & my eyes Shut for the last 20yrs. I have never heard of moosoft... E v e r..??

I can agree with some of the Yay's & Nays in the reviews of this Absurd App, & to be fair, We all have different opinions & views. I have not downloaded nor tested This App (And never Will). But I do feel I need to reach out to the Gullible, Unwary, Unknowlegable or Noobs, who may be attracted to this Monster.

The portable v is 600Mb ffs.!! The setup.exe is 300Mb. Ask yourself, WHERE does that extra 300Mb go when you Install this Conglomerate..?? Common sense says it will Riddle your system with files. Make dozens of changes to System files. And, (To all the guys who have just Run one of those Crap registry cleaners & removed 100+ Reg keys).. lol... This Mutha will add another 10 zillion Keys for you to deal with... "Wot a Laff".

IF... You happen to have an Infection, Trojan/virus etc. "Ask Yourself" HOW did it get there.?? .... & THEN.. Either Re-Configure your Anti-Virus proggy, or consider Upgrading to a better one.

$20 bucks or FREE. I would NOT recommend Anyone to put their machine into the hands of moosoft and/or a completely ridiculous App like this... ( _ º _ )

Impossible to review as the program isn't downloadable from anywhere a day after the release I hope the download size of 250 MEG is a mistake & the comparison the other AV's/Anti-Malware products on the Moosoft page is ridiculous - Hard to find any realistic reviews of the product - I will try again another day.

The program has nothing to do with CCleaner. Only the "name" is similar. Plainly Mr. Some Guy never ever tried it, yet he makes an idiotic judgment. I went so far as to view some of his other "reviews." The man appears to be barely literate. THIS is the future of the United States.

some guy - Another instance of you writing a review without neither installing or reading the blurb.

It's not a cleaner like CCleaner, it's a dedicated Trojan Remover/Anti Malware, remover/guard. It doesn't have anything to do with cleaning junk off your PC..

You do show yourself to be a moron.

As for the program I use it as I detest Trojans out of all Malware. This morning I received a reminder to renew it at a very nice price. So I will be using it for at least another year.

First and foremost: This application is not worth the money. It's interface is poor, and it's quality is very low.

Furthermore, there are better products for this kind of thing.

A good product, but it's NOT freeware.

rotjong

rotjong reviewed v6.0.0.2000 on May 1, 2009

I downloaded and installed this new release after checking the website. It appears the developer has seen the error of his ways. I don't know if sales plummeted or what but we are back to there being a FREE version or a single payment 19.95 USD 1 year license with NO monthly fee for definitions or whatnot. I'm not yet sure what the differences are between the free and licensed versions. While the definition updates are still large (~20 MB) the engine scanning speed is fast as I remember it being in the past. A smart scan has also been re-introduced. Once upon a time I used the registered version back around v3 and v4 but with the licensing of v5 I just used the freeware version and hated it.

TC 2010 v6 appears handy, once again. The downside is a smartscan yielded CmdLineExt03.dll being considered suspicious when it is connected to SecuROM and deleting it would be a bad thing.

For now I'll be giving the software a 3 while I continue testing. If I like it as much as I used to then I will begin using it again. The 3 is for the re-introducing the smart scan, changing the licensing back to being within the realm of sanity, and cleaning up the GUI which became very ugly over time. I'm impressed so far. If things pan out and my continued experiments show it truly has improved then I will raise my rating. I don't wish to jump the gun and throw out a 4 or a 5 without fully testing.

I began using The Cleaner back around 1997. It's truly good to see this product heading in the right direction again.

rotjong

rotjong reviewed v5.5 Alpha on Jan 28, 2009

Long ago I loved this program. It was a "must have" piece of software and I paid for it. Then along came version 5 and the free & shareware versions. The quick scan feature which was extremely useful was removed.

I used this as a freeware version so I cannot comment on the current status since you can no longer use it as freeware. The licensing cost makes it more expensive than many full antivirus programs. The 20 MB database updates are also out of hand. Something needs to be done about that.

The program should be just as great as it ever was when it comes to removing trojans and RATs but the functionality has become hampered and the pricing is simply not worth it for me to find an excuse to keep in my arsenal of "must have" software.

As a longtime user of The Cleaner (started with the first version) I am disappointed with the registered version of The Cleaner 5.

It is slow to load, even slower to scan. The concept that they want you to pay $4.50 each month for updates should rankle even the casual user that may fall for this subscription signup.

I vote a thumbs down for this one.

Surely a RC1 thats been updated at least twice must become a RC2? It becomes impossible to know which product you have tried otherwise. :-)

PWT999

PWT999 reviewed v4.0 RC1 (Updated) on Oct 26, 2003

According to the official forum if you bought version 3.5 within six monmths of release of version 4 final, you are entitled to a free upgrade.

kgruber

kgruber reviewed v4.0 RC1 (Updated) on Oct 25, 2003

I give it a three because of the value it provides in light of competing solutions. There's no substitute for a good antivirus program and firewall, which is necessary to combat the threat of trojans and other viruses. Whilst the product does what it says, and is a competent trojan scanner, provides no other additional protection which can be purchased in a package. $30.00 is alot to pay for something that doesn't have a firewall or a virus scanner. How much freeware (as opposed to shareware being used within the scope of license) can you get? If this program built or extended upon the default firewall within XP, I would give it a four. Keep in mind of the competition, Norton Internet Security Suite offers more bang for the buck: a realtime antivirus scanner and firewall for around $70.00 from the manufacturer, and about $60 on the street.

ghammer reviewed v4.0 RC 1 (Updated) on Oct 17, 2003

This tool works very well. I have tried MANY that claim to find trojans but this one actually does the job. It is also updated frequently. Give it a try, I think you'll like it.

PWT999

PWT999 reviewed v4.0 RC1 on Oct 11, 2003

'masoud' I can only wonder in awe what the 'powerful Trojan remover' you used was. As regards 'The Cleaner' I feel it is about the best Trojan checker on the market. I used to recommend 'Tauscan' but I have noticed how infrequently it is updated these days, it seems that 'Agnitum' don't really care anymore. Moosoft seem to have updates for the cleaner every couple of days or so. I personally had problems updating v4 of 'The Cleaner' though so I'm sticking to v3.5 until v4 is final. A great product with good support.

Scipio

Scipio reviewed v4.0 Beta 2 on Sep 27, 2003

It seems to work fine. I installed it, did a system check, and found nothing. That's because I have up-to-date antivirus software and use such programs as AdAware and Spybot Search&Destroy. Also some small programs from Gibson Research that fix some security vulnerabilities. Also ZoneAlarm.

I'll give it a 5 because even though I didn't need it, it installed and uninstalled cleanly and gave me no trouble. Other users may very well have Trojans and not know about it until running a check.

masoud

masoud reviewed v3.2 Build 3213 on Oct 31, 2001

I used THE CLEANER for 15 days as a shareware, after scanning my system it detected nothing;everything was okay always !!after installing a powerful trojan remover,it has detected 3 generic trojans and 7 suspicious files.
RESULT:relying on THE CLEANER was a big mistake.

NYCgreen reviewed v3.2 Build 3213 on Jan 14, 2001

The Cleaner is definitely a tool that you want in your arsenal of anti-virus\trojan. Frequent updates to the trojan database and the ability to initiate a right click directory or file scan in Explorer are great features.

this program rocks!!
after relying on such programs as netbus detective and nukenabber, etc. i finally parted with some $$ and bought "jammer" about a month ago. Up until now non of these programs (or even nortan anti-virus) had detected any virus or trojan of any kind, but after installing "the cleaner" I imediately scanned my hard drive and to my amazement it detected and cleaned 3 seperate trojans. my advise: get this program A.S.A.P, it is brilliant and very easy to use.

Best library of detected Trojans I've seen, nice clean interface, lots of options, and the background scanner won't totally rob you of system resources.
