Publisher's Description
TortoiseSVN provides a nice and easy user interface for Subversion, and as a Subversion client, TortoiseSVN has all the features of Subversion itself, including: most current CVS features; directories, renames, and file meta-data are versioned; commits are truly atomic; branching and tagging are cheap (constant time) operations; efficient handling of binary files.

I am working on fixing update issues, as documented by the developer. I've yet to resolve them and get v1.7 working, but am going to make a new effort. I think residue from v1.6 is somehow affecting v1.7. For having an upgrade procedure that (in the developer's recommendation requires at least two re-installs) is odd and why I will take a star from this otherwise EXCELLENT utility.
UPDATE: After numerous tries, I've still not resolved the update anomalies (lack of all shell integration). When I have time, I'll search for remaining v1.6 residue and see if I can fix it. This is on x64 systems. Anyone else have trouble *ever* resolving this serious shell integration issue documented by the developer?

I also had trouble with v1.7. The Icon Overlays used for the shell do not function, or at least wouldn't for me. I tried various things to get them working, but then just gave up with it, as I have no need for the updates v1.7 offers at this time. I went back to v1.6 and have been afraid to try a new v1.7 build since. There are no critical issues with v1.6, so I'll try v1.7 again maybe one day when if I'm bored. Still, I'll rate it a 4, as I'm sure this flaw will be corrected, if it hasn't been already. I still have a *feeling* that perhaps v1.7 is still not quite as stable as the v1.6 code base was.

This installer is a little buggy, but if you run it again and click "Repair" everything works as expected.

as anonymouscowturd said, keep away from this version it seriously screws with the graphical presentation. other than that it seems to work fine for me. Otherwise a real piece of software

Stay the hell away from this release!
This is the second time in about as many months that they have released a complete duffer.
This release along with the the one previous to last completely messed up the revision graphing. I'm having to roll back this version to TortoiseSVN 1.6.1, Build 16129. Additionally tagging on branches seem to have gone completely up the creek.
Stay well clear if you like to use revision graphs to keep track of what is going on within your repository.
