Publisher's Description

TrayIt! allows you to save precious Taskbar space for minimized windows. For each application, it creates a small icon in the System Tray. When application's window is minimized, this icon represents the application on the Taskbar instead of the regular "minimized rectangle."

Really nice to minimize some apps to the 'tray'. Works flawlessly so far, much better than similar tools I tried in the past.

Very nice program. I'd prefer it to actually give a normal installation rather than standalone w/ DLL. However, some users would prefer it to not actually install.

Absolute gem! I have used several others (Active Tray, Tray Devil, Power Menu, and TrayIcon Pro) and this is the best. Very low resource usage and so far works with every app I've tried with it.

Power Menu used to be my favorite but it didn't always reproduce an application's icon correctly in the system tray.

Nice little app. Prefer Powermenu however.

Apparently doesn't work with Vista, but I will not downgrade it for that.

oops. 4t does not save your config between sessions

anomoly

anomoly reviewed v4.3.8 on Oct 7, 2006

somewhat simple but does not work well with some windows & does not hide icons. It only minimizes to tray -that's it

4t tray minimizer works better, minimizes and/or hides icons (which can be customized) or can hide the entire sys tray & can run favorites with keyboard cmnds, works with alt-tab & uses less resources.

Wow, i can't believe there's an update to this. I've been using a previous version for years, but lately some compatibility issues have crept in. Very nice helper app - love the way the icon stays in the tray reguardless of the min/max state of the window.

guti - thanks for the link to the spanish language only review of TaskSwitchXP. I'll get right on that.

An update! Finally! Have been using TrayIt v2.10.1.1 for years. Can't live without it.

Does what it says, and does it quite well. Compact and fast.

The same feature is also available in the improved taskswitcher TaskSwitchXP, so lots of users will have it integrated already. Read a review of TaskSwitchXP at http://guti.bitacoras.co...ntry=entry050120-215825, or get to the official page at http://taskswitchxp.sourceforge.net.

This has been one of the handiest and most reliable tools for me over the past year or so. It is definitely the best and simplest minimize-to-tray utility out there.

Great Program, been using it for years, I love the right click on the X and it sends whatever window to the tray.

Quite handy little tool. I would much rather have stuff in the system tray instead of the taskbar. I've tried a lot of apps that do what this one does, but this one seems to work the best. Plus - its tiny and free. whoohoo! Geta a fiver from me.
