I give it 5 because it does precisely what it claims to do in a simple, easy to use package. But this does seem to be less and less relevant as time goes on. Have not run into a CWS infestation for several months now.

This is an invaluable tool if you're infected with the CoolWebSearch spyware.
I'd just like to know where version 2.14 came from? The one downloaded from here as well as the intermute website posted by Mr.T below is verion 2.13.

IsoNick, have you read Merjin's page, you'd know that CWShredder has been sold to another company (InterMute) who is planning on integrating it into their software product (SpySubstract PRO).
But until they do so, they're going to provide it for free.

Is this a fake? According to the programs homepage, this project have been cancelled due lack of time from the author. The latest version should be v1.59.1.
Anyhow, I will still give the v1.59.1 version 5 in rating. Very good tool indeed.

if ur system is "infected" with the Coolwebsearch thingie, this is the MUST download... where ad-aware can't fully remove CWS, the shredder does with ease... just remember to turn off JVM in ur explorer options... 5/5
