I would have given Turbo Torrent a rating of 4 because it does the job, but the people behind this software really upset me about something.
The website declares "low CPU usage". Now that may be true that it does not use too much of the processor power, but it takes up so much memory that my computer has shut down a few times when I became careless watching a movie or listening to music. My computer is pretty powerful and it has 1024ram memory! I've studied what software is using what dll, and what programs are running using memory and how much of it. I'm all over my computer in that respect. And Turbo Torrent is pretty rough on my PC.
I have to run this program hidden in the background and I still can't do everything I would like to do, like web design and listen to music cause my computer might shut down. One should not be scarred to run a program, or be frightened to check up on its status. That is really messed up that they try to mislead people like that. There is no reason for that. It is immature and I am ashamed.
I will give it one last shot and install 1.0.9 to see if there is any difference. If there is, I will post it up here with an apology. But as of yet, I feel deceived. I expect a certain type of pride, honesty and quality when it comes to freeware. This is the type of deception one would expect from a major corporation, not the freeware community.

This and g3 are the same client , i think . they both crashed with thr same error . whats wrong with these bt clients . a lot of them suck really bad ..
bit comet was ok but the links and the browser function will give you bugs , azearus is slow on older computers cause java is painfully slow etc.
im very dissapointed in these torrent programs .

Very much like G3 Torrent except also has a built-in, albeit basic, web interface for remote monitoring. Interface is very similar to G3 and has same Choker and Spoofing features. Based on G3 v1.0.1 I think TurboTorrent 1.0.7 feels a little more stable and responsive.

Very impressive design, and good coding make this BT client topnotch. I downloaded forty files in no time and it grabbed every one of them.
