I tried this out at the office and it was okay, refresh times were too long for my liking. I prefered HootSuite over this for professional uses, it simply covers more social networks. For personal use I prefer MultiMi it combines my email and social channels in one place. Unlike TweetDeck and Hootsuite, MultiMi is free. I'll be keeping that for personal accounts, if they make something for professionals then I think it may stand a chance against the big players.

Once my goto Twitter app, now a pale shadow of its former glory. TweetDeck used to make monitoring multiple groups and lists on Twitter a pleasure. This revision makes reading more than 3 lists a tortuous affair. If you are a power user of Twitter then avoid this update at all costs.
Gone are TweetDeck's groups which allowed more than 500 tweeters. There is a significant lag in column refreshing, up to 2 hours in my experience meaning DMs and mentions go unnoticed until they are stale. Columns no longer hold a reasonable number of historic tweets (often less than an hour on busy lists). Retweeting using the better RT method is no longer an option. You can't filter on name or text within a column. Most of the time avatars simply don't display. You can't display number of followers next to a persons avatar. The UI wastes precious screen space and lacks flexibility for tuning. I'd go on but it's too depressing.

Somebody ruined a fantastic application with this awful update (downgrade?). I can't even get it to work. Stick with version 0.38 for as long as you can before installing this POS.
I loved the previous versions of TweetDeck and used it every single day. This version (1.0) has me using the web site again. However, I'll shortly be reinstalling the wonderful version 0.38 of TweetDeck. It actually works.
