Virus Protector (VProtector) is an add-on for mIRC that doubled as a removal script for mIRC viruses and also protect your mIRC from virus infection. However, VProtector can remove common viruses and worms such as Karma worms, Nkie worms & Fable virus. It can also remove one common backdoor. You can also use the F-Mirc Worm Scanner by ROSE SWE, Ralph Roth included in VProtector to scan and remove other mIRC and non-mIRC viruses and trojans. Virus Protector is based on the known virus file name in order to detect and remove them. Backdoor is detected by scanning for a line of backdoor code in every file in the mIRC folder.
