Oh boy, I know I am a vfp die-hard but this version REALLY got me hooked. Was VFP 7 already a hit with many new features, VFP8 is another quantumleap forward in database development be it for desktop, C/S or Inet. When you have VFP you never want to look back anymore. Download it, Try it and get addicted forever!!

Visual Foxpro has never been freeware, the person who listed here must of made a mistake. I know you can get pricing information from http://msdn.microsoft.co...ro/howtobuy/default.asp but I dont know if they have pricing for VFP8 yet.

Would the final version be also freeware (at least for Visual Studio .NET users)?
That would be great, as is Visual J#!

VisualFoxPro is the undisputed king of desktop database development, and excels at client/server apps. And the best keeps getting better. VFP8 ushers in a new era of productivity! While VB6 developers are getting the shaft from VB.NET, VFP keeps rolling forwards.

Anyhow - VFP8 has to be one of the best releases ever, they have finally fixed the broken view designer and added a lot of new features. I didn't do much with VFP7, it was a mediocre release at best, but VFP8 is a worth addition to any developers suite.
