Publisher's Description
WigiWigi is video over IP application that is built on a completely new and unique protocol. Unlike other applications, this one does not require and DLLs, drivers, codecs, DirectX, 3rd party libraries, or even an installation.
The application has just entered beta and the GUI is crude and semi-functional - no contact list exists.

I had a video conversation with a man in Romania using wigiwigi 3.0.69. The video was wigi wigi and the voice was skype. The audio and video were absolutely clear and sycn. I am surprised.

some guy,
As you correctly noticed many of the reviews have come from people that have been testing this software during the alpha stages of development. None of these have come from the developer himself and no one posting a review is working for the “company” that developed the program – we are all just volunteers. Many of these same people have also tested a variety of other video/voice applications that have been released recently like Vskype, vidio4skype (now video4IM), vsee, jajah, MSN, etc. so they have a pretty good appreciation for what is currently available in this type of software. I share their opinion that there is currently no other application that combines the quality (voice and video), frame rate, speed, and sync of WigiWigi. In it’s current form it is a little awkward to use because you have to connect using an IP or dynamic DNS address but that will be addressed in future releases. So please “some guy”, give it a try and let the developer know what you think. I believe the whole intent of releasing WigiWigi to BetaNews was to get some additional feedback from new users. He already knows what I think.

I have been using and testing this program since 1 March,
Every few days there was a new pre-beta version.
....and every version reached a higher performance level.
not only for the video but also the sound.
If you hever never seen "lip sync " audio and video,
....try Wigiwigi!
Even with a slow connection , you will have amazing results.
My expectations for future releases are even higher!
It will outperforme everything on the market today in Video, Audio, conferencing, connectability, compatability and ease of use.
'Simplicity' is Ashod Apakian's watchword.
Wigiwigi! .....Only seeing is believing.
Stay tuned for this one !

I've been a tester of WigiWigi since its beginnings and I really must say that this software beats every video conference app out there. It has achived the highest framerate and quality in both video and audio that I have ever seen on a video conference platform.

I've been using Wigiwigi since june and each day the application was improving.
The last release is 0.26 beta and the video/audio quality is the better I've ever seen compared to the others. It's easy to use and soon the GUI will be really nice.
A multi-chat release was also tested and it was promising.
If you haven't tested Wigiwigi yet, just go ahead you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I give the max rating (5).

I have been beta testing this since january this year (05)
The program has come a long way since then.
I am Ashods "nightmare" tester as my Pc is more than lame, but he has fixed any problem that i have had.
Fingers crossed the gui will be excellent when its released, as someone has already said its mainly in semi-geek mode at the moment.
The man in the screenshot is Ben. His tache is legendary.
Only reason my pic isnt there is, because my cam makes me look ginger lol.
Any ladies want to test, go to the wigiwigi forum and pm me.

Excellent video quality and very good audio. I havent seen any better.
Easy to use - just type the IP-number or DNS-alias to the person you want to talk with. The GUI lacks a HELP-button but I found a lot of information in their forum how to finetune my camera and how to use the program.
I give it a 5 for its videoquality and ease of use.

Good quality, as soon the usability and the new GUI will be ready, it will represent a benchmark for similar applications.
Still some "birth" problem, but a very promising product

I've been using it since v17x (1-2 months ago).It was years ahead of what others had on the market.
Now with the latest beta released the fluidity is almost real time and the total bandwich usage when set on high quality is ~ 40KBytes/sec.
The creator of the program will improve the quality of the audio and video even more by including the video filters (already tested) in the final version to come soon.

By far the best video over IP...surpasses all current benchmarks in terms of speed / frame rate...the high quality audio, as good as any other existing voice application, seems to be the perfect complement...wonder how long they will keep it free for individual users.Looking forward for further enhancements in GUI which is for semi-geeks at the moment...yet to be idiot friendly.
The guy in the screenshot seems to be a very cool 'dude'...I personally feel that if anyone wants to have a moustache it should be like his...no pun intended... :-)
