I waited so long for an update to this software (so I could use it in Windows 7 without using the compatibility mode). It used to convert DivX to DVD flawlessly. I used version 8 without any issues (with XP). This new version produces DVDs that noticeably lag. I'm using the exact same codecs too. This is true even if I have it installed on XP. Strange...

This is the fastest video conversion/encoding software I have seen in my years of encoding, works with most formats and is not too expensive.

Does a great job of converting my downloaded video to DVD and other formats!

I have tried others but I find WinAVI Video Converter to be the best. 8.0 should be great.

Excellent program, but it should be under the Video Conversion category.

Great app. Been using this for couple of yrs now.

Fast. Converts in 40 minutes. Good pic quality. But if you need subs, you can only hard-code them in using VobSub. I suggest using CovertXtoDVD if you need subs.

One more thing:
Why does FileForum have this listed in >Audio instead of >Video?
