WinDac is designed to copy Audio Tracks from Audio CD's digitally to your hard disk with the help of the installed CDROM drives. It doesn't make use of a soundcard or any other sound hardware. You need only a CDROM drive which is capable of Digital Audio Extraction (DAE) and which is connected to your SCSI or IDE controller.
