Publisher's Description

WinGet is a download accelerator that can increase download speeds by up to 300 percent. Unlike similar applications, it is completely free. It does not contain any banner ads or spy-ware. The acceleration is achieved by splitting the file being downloaded into several parts and downloading these parts at the same time. You may automatically resume broken downloads if your connection is lost or if your computer accidentally shuts down. It is fully integrated into the browser, providing the best possible performance from any Internet connection (dial-up, cable, DSL/ADSL, T1 etc.). It has HTTP and SOCKS proxy support.

Nice looking, stable fast and reliable.
It's not a full blown manager like Getright or Reget but does the job fine.
I wish some shareware/commercial apps would be so reliable and well made, as this nice applet.

No one who has actually used other download managers would give WinGet a 5-star rating. For one thing, it has no "site explorer" feature, which GetRight and even the freeware Free Download Manager has.

I am giving WinGet the benefit of the doubt with the three-star rating, since I uninstalled it the moment I saw how limited it was.

The interface and basic functionality seemed good, though.

I have used many download managers, and I find that WinGet is one of the very best. And, moreover, it's free! It doesn't get better than this!

Survey says: A ++++++++

Basically a perfect download manager! Easy to use, looks good, runs fast, non-intrusive, enough features to be good, and uses very little memory! Great program, plus it's small too! I recommend this one over other download managers. There are very few bugs (if any at all), and very few things (again, if any) that need to be improved.
