A NOTE ON SKINS
For people who have made skins for winamp 2.x there is a convertor available here: http://www.angelfire.com/ky2/gent/skinconv.zip (56k) that will convert winamp 2.x skins to winp3. WinP3 will use ALL winamp skins, and then you can add animations to them if you wish. Also everything else is skinnable from size, and shape, to the visualations themselves. Don't like my skins (I'm a programmer, not an artist) use your favorites with WinP3!

two questions for funkyfreddy3k
1)From this review and the others you have posted on other media players, I have to ask...How much is WinAmp paying you?
2)How can I get WinAmp to pay me if I start trashing other players?

ok, i admit it, i only just downloaded it and tried it. LMAO! well im kinda thinking about emailing the betanews admins and asking them to add "0" as an option in the ratings.
All the good reviews ARE fake. This player is so PATHETIC its funny. What is this guy on? does he REALLY think people are going to PAY for this when winamp2 looks better, sounds better, is incredibly well estabilished with 1000s of [GOOD] skins and plugins. I wont even mention winamp3 again cos if the author isnt living in some kinda dream world, then I guess the mention of winamp3 would make the guy cry.
There is no way anyone could have geniunely given this thing more than a 2 (and that would be extremely generous).
I also notice that the install replaces all the standard ms ocx's and a load of standard dlls, so it wouldnt surprize me if loads of my everyday apps are screwed now thanks to the idiot that wrote this sh33t.

Let's see. Speed up my computer by forcing it to access data from a 12 MBps source instead of a 100 MBps source. Hmmm ...nope; doesn't compute.

I know it's an early beta but just can't use it, 1) it doesn't have WMA support 2) the UI should be rework

As the creator of WinP3, I would just like to say that I do not know the people who posted the below reviews. Also, this is a beta testing site. That is the reason I submitted my BETA version here. You see the people here are supposed to download the software and after testing it post a review on what you SPECIFICALLY find right or wrong about the program. Please do not post a review based upon it "being another media player" without downloading it. WinP3 stands on its own, I need not boost its rating, for those of you who have ACTUALLY DOWNLOADED it, would not just say it was just like the rest.
But, if you like/dislike it, please by all means tell me what you like/dislike about it (SPECIFICALLY) so that I may address these issues.
That is why WinP3 is here, supposedly beta testers are supposed to beta test.

As an honest reviewer, I actually download the product first. Maybe it has something ingenious that other products don't. You never know. So don't be a jackass and write a sucky review just to be a prick-c***sucker. After trying it out, I really like it. The animated skins are cool also. The skin creater is much easier to use than the Winamp skin thing. Try it out, and if you like it, you like it. I give it a 5!
