Dude this is how WinRAR should be with a nice look but for those who want less resorces then make a lite version that look even less graphical then 3.50 no wizard for advance users only.

bad. realy. simple replaced icons (iconset "Crystal") with the ResourceHacker.

Bloatage...simple as that. Like mizkitty said...I never see those icons anyway, so why do I need eye candy?
I like Winrar because it's small and does the job. I don't need to add any bloat to it.

Cute, but pointless.
I use WinRAR several times a day and have never had the need to open the full interface.
Everything you need to do can be done from the right-hand context menu.

why are some of you guys reviewing winrar? go search for winrar and post your review there. it's the patch that should be being reviewed.

the icons are a drastic improvement and the patch works flawlessly on 3.40 (like the description says). they're working on a new version for 3.41.

sheesh.

I still prefer PowerArchiver (which will do everything WinRAR will do and more), but this finally makes WinRAR's archaic Win95-looking interface look up to date.
If you like WinRAR better than PA, download this so it doesn't look so bad. The people who made WinRAR should either pay him and use these icons natively or at least follow his lead.

finalcut

cute but no thanks
I keep powerarchiver
I like a good utility more than the gui.

and PA can compress to 7z , winrar cant

@zik: no .rar compression needed when you have 7z compression :)

This is for WinRAR v3.40 not v3.41.
